Deputy Secretary of State Heather A. Higginbottom will travel to Istanbul, Ankara, and Adana, Turkey, March 18 - 21. Deputy Secretary Higginbottom will meet with senior Turkish officials, including Deputy Foreign Minister Naci Koru, to discuss the broad range of bilateral and regional issues on which Turkey and the United States are in regular contact, including the Syria crisis. During her visit, the Deputy Secretary will also meet with civil society leaders, business leaders, and U.S. diplomatic personnel, as well as observe firsthand U.S. support to Syrian refugees in Turkey.
