The Global Development Network (GDN) and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) are sponsoring an essay contest. African students are invited to submit a 15,000 character essay on the topic of "Imagining the future of Africa 2025." The paper must cover positive solutions to the economic, environmental, and social and political challenges facing the continent.

- Be between the ages of 21-29
- Be enrolled at an African university
