Kitui, Kenya: A KCSE candidate in Kitui town ran berserk and attacked his "lover" from a neighbouring school, chopping off the girl's hand.

The attacker who is a student at Changithya Secondary School in Kitui Central District lured the girl through a telephone call.
They met near Kitui Resort Club where he assaulted her.
Kitui OCPD Muchagi Kioi said initial investigations pointed to a love affair gone-sour, but promised intense investigations before the suspect is taken to court.

The attacker who is a student at Changithya Secondary School in Kitui Central District lured the girl through a telephone call.
They met near Kitui Resort Club where he assaulted her.
Kitui OCPD Muchagi Kioi said initial investigations pointed to a love affair gone-sour, but promised intense investigations before the suspect is taken to court. Kioi said the two had been in a relationship for two months before the attack.
The police boss said the boy ran away after the attack but was apprehended at his parents' home in Wikililye area.
