Dear partners,
As you know, World Immunization Week 2013 is due to begin on 20 April. We are expecting participation from at least 180 countries worldwide.
This annual event provides a unique opportunity to celebrate achievements in saving lives through vaccination and to mobilize action to increase vaccination coverage with both existing and newly available vaccines.
Campaign materials are available in 6 languages on our World Immunization Week campaign site http://www.who.int/campaigns/immunization-week/2013/en/index.html
Examples are:
· Campaign essentials for event organizers
· Myths and facts about vaccination
· Fact sheet on vaccine coverage
The first in a series of feature stories can also be found on the site. The others will be posted in the coming days.
Let us and others know how you will be celebrating the Week by registering your event and activities at http://www.who.int/campaigns/immunization-week/2013/event_registration/en/index.html
You can find the list of events already registered at http://www.who.int/campaigns/immunization-week/events/en/index.html
Join in the conversation about World Immunization Week on Twitter https://twitter.com/who #GetVax and
Watch the live webcast of a special immunization information session hosted by WHO, UNICEF, the GAVI Alliance, the Permanent Missions of Senegal and Sweden to the UN, and PATH on Monday 22 April at 10.30-12.00 CET (the web link will be available at http://www.who.int/campaigns/immunization-week/2013/en/index.html shortly before the start of the event).
Thank you for your participation in this important campaign.
Kind regards.
