[wanabidii] The Dandora Human Peace Caravan- a huge success

Dear Friends,

The Dandora Human Peace Caravan was flagged off by Mr. Sam Muinde- DO 1 Njiru on behalf of the DC Njiru this morning at the DOs Office in Dandora Phase 3. The Walk for Peace across Dandora was led by The Administration Police Band and the Traffic Police outriders.The Administration Police Band was led by Insp Gikunda.

We walked to Dandora Terminus, Sharp Corner, Phase 4, Number 41 and ended the Walk at the DOs Office.

With us was the Nairobi Region IEBC Coordinator Ms Bilhah Kiptugen, the DO Dandora Mr. Andrew Kimani, the DPC Teams from Dandora, Njiru, Kariobangi South, Makadara and the Peace Monitor for Makadara, Embakasi and Njiru District Mr. Michael Osir.

We were also joined by a contingent of students from Kenyatta University and Thika School of Medical and Health Sciences. They were also given chances to pass their messages of Peace to fellow Kenyans.

Once again, we want to appreciate the support of Freedom House, World Vision Kenya, IEBC Nairobi, Mr. Elijah Agevi- our Chairman, and all the people who joined us to make today a success. We have posted all the photos on our Facebook Pages. We are now heading to Westlands where we will all meet on the 9th Feb 2013 at Waruku at 7.30am for The Waruku Kangemi Human Peace Caravan

The residents of Dandora turned out in large numbers for the Peace Walk
