Click Here . . | The Eyes Have It: Art, Awards, And The Earth On Fire. | Asian art took a giant leap forward in San Diego recently with the opening of an exhibition of statues, tapestries, drawings and even household furniture from China, Japan and Korea. Called "Art of East Asia," the stars of this exhibition remained hidden in the basement of the San Diego Museum of Art until finally introduced to the public by someone of Mexican descent – Roxana Velasquez Martinez del Campo, the museum's executive director, who has been on the job only two-and-a-half years.
