No tax on agriculture income: Arun Jaitley
Replying to the debate on the Finance Bill, 2016-17 in the Lok Sabha, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley asserted that despite global recession, the Indian economy is doing well. He maintained that it can do much better, provided there is a good monsoon and the government is able to address the vexed issue of non-performing assets (NPAs) of banks.

Bill to reform how India sets its monetary policy closer to passage
The bill to overview and averhaul the process of monetary policy making process in the country is set to be passed by the Parliament, said finance minister Arun Jaitley. The bill already passed in the Lok Sabha, has received acceptance in principle in the Rajya Sabha as well
