Press Releases: Secretary Kerry's Meeting With Qatari Foreign Minister al-Attiyah 12/14/2015 01:07 PM EST Secretary Kerry's Meeting With Qatari Foreign Minister al-Attiyah Readout Office of the Spokesperson Washington, DC December 14, 2015 The following is attributable to Deputy Spokesperson Mark Toner: Secretary John Kerry met with the Qatari Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Hamad al-Attiyah in Paris, France. The two discussed a range of issues, including efforts to counter ISIL in the region and reach a political resolution to end the conflict in Syria. They also discussed the results of last week's Saudi-led conference to identify members of the credible Syrian opposition.
