Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security Rose Gottemoeller will visit Amman, Beirut, and Djibouti, November 9–14. November 9–11, Under Secretary Gottemoeller will travel to Amman to discuss regional security, U.S. security cooperation, and nonproliferation issues with her Jordanian counterparts. On November 11, she will deliver remarks on principles for a Middle East Weapons of Mass Destruction Free Zone at the Amman Security Colloquium at the University of Jordan. On November 12, the Under Secretary will be in Beirut for meetings on regional security, security cooperation, and land mine removal and abatement. November 13–14, Under Secretary Gottemoeller will travel to Djibouti to visit Camp Lemonnier and to meet with various counterparts to discuss international security issues and international anti-piracy efforts.
