Ambassador Tom Shannon will travel on October 18 to Vienna, Austria to lead the U.S. delegation to the first Joint Commission meeting under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). Ambassador Shannon will be accompanied by Lead Coordinator for Iran Nuclear Implementation Ambassador Steve Mull and nuclear and sanctions experts from relevant U.S. government agencies. Attending the October 19 meeting will be the participants to the JCPOA, to include all the members of the P5+1 (China, France, Germany, the Russian Federation, the United Kingdom, and the United States), the European Union, and Iran. |
