Press Releases: Secretary Kerry Travel to Anchorage, AK 08/25/2015 02:37 PM EDT Secretary Kerry Travel to Anchorage, AK Press Statement John Kirby Department Spokesperson Washington, DC August 25, 2015 Secretary of State John Kerry will travel to Anchorage, Alaska on August 30 to host the Conference on Global Leadership in the Arctic: Cooperation, Innovation, Engagement and Resilience (GLACIER). During GLACIER, Secretary Kerry will lead and participate in sessions focused on changes in the Arctic and the global implications of those changes; climate resilience and adaptation planning; and strengthening coordination on Arctic issues. Portions of GLACIER will be livestreamed on the Department of State website. For further information about the conference, visit www.state.gov/glacier.
