From July 10–11, Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security Rose Gottemoeller will visit Paris, France to meet with her British, Chinese, French and Russian counterparts to discuss the P5 agenda in the wake of the 2015 Nonproliferation Treaty (NPT) Review Conference and prepare for the 2016 P5 Conference hosted by France. From July 12–13, Under Secretary Gottemoeller will travel to Ljubljana, Slovenia to meet with President Borut Pahor, Foreign Minister Karl Erjavec, and other counterparts at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Discussions will focus on NATO, regional and international security issues, and strategic stability. Under Secretary Gottemoeller will also meet with Ambassador Damjan Bergant, Director of the International Trust Fund, to discuss U.S.-Slovenian cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including conventional weapons destruction programs in Southeast Europe.
