Assistant Secretary of State for International Organization Affairs Sheba Crocker will be in Geneva April 20 – 22 to co-chair the spring meeting of the Geneva Group. The Geneva Group consists of seventeen of the largest contributors to the United Nations (UN) budget. The group meets regularly to discuss and pursue measures to promote budget discipline and improve transparency, efficiency, and effectiveness across the UN system. Assistant Secretary Crocker will be in Copenhagen April 22 – 24. She will take part in the U.S.-Nordic Security Dialogue, an annual meeting to discuss opportunities for collaboration on global and regional security issues, focusing primarily on issues arising in the UN, including an integrated approach to preventive diplomacy, peacebuilding, peacekeeping, and atrocity prevention. Also while in Copenhagen, Assistant Secretary Crocker will visit one of the United Nations Children's Fund’s (UNICEF) main logistics and supply centers.
