Deputy Secretary Blinken to Give Keynote Address at the U.S. Institute for Peace On the Future of UN Peace Operations

Deputy Secretary of State Antony Blinken will give the keynote address during a panel discussion at the U.S. Institute for Peace (USIP) on Tuesday, March 10, at 9:00 a.m. The event, titled “The Future of UN Peace Operations”,is co-hosted by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of International Organization Affairs, the Better World Campaign, and the U.S. Institute for Peace. Participants include Mr. Jose Ramos-Horta, Nobel Peace Prize-winner, former President of Timor-Leste, and Chair of the UN Secretary-General’s High-level Independent Panel on UN Peace Operations; Ambassador William Taylor, Acting Executive Vice President at USIP; Ambassador George Moose, Vice Chair, USIP Board of Directors; Assistant Secretary of State for International Organization Affairs Sheba Crocker; and Peter Yeo, Vice President of Public Policy, UN Foundation and President of the Better World Campaign.
