Ambassador Robert King, Special Envoy for North Korean Human Rights Issues, will travel to Geneva January 20 for meetings with officials from the UN and members of the international community to discuss the deplorable human rights situation in North Korea. Ambassador King will then travel to Brussels on January 21-23 to meet with senior officials of the European Union, including Members of the European Parliament, civil society leaders and others of the international community for consultations on a wide range of human rights and humanitarian issues. Ambassador King will return to Washington, D.C. on January 23. |
