Judgment in the application that President Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya be excused from attending proceedings relating to charges brought against him arising out of violence following the 2007 elections. The court said that Kenyatta was obliged to attend "all required hearings", that a "status conference" on October 8 came at a "critical juncture" in proceedings and that "the requirements of justice in this case necessitate the physical presence of the accused at the court."
