MDF Soldiers i Operation Mchotsa-Mbava
In what is seemingly a hard response to the country's ground-rocketing security, a union of heavily armed forces has raided Mzuzu City market perimeters.
The dispatched team comprises men from Malawi Defense Forces (MDF), Police, Immigration and Prison services.
They have surrounded all market units within the city detaining everybody who happened to be within the markets after the raid.
Prison, Immigration and some Police officers are infiltrating the markets mounting an extensive, but anonymous search while the military and some police officers are guarding the perimeters.
However, we can disclose that dozens of people, mostly foreigners, have been shipped into custody.
Meanwhile, Lilongwe residents are also experiencing tough time this evening as those in drinking joints are being arrested as they are being suspected of being robbers.
