Deputy Secretary William J. Burns will travel to Beijing, China, July 7-9 to lead the U.S. delegation to the U.S.-China Strategic Security Dialogue (SSD) and to participate in the U.S.-China Strategic and Economic Dialogue. The Deputy Secretary will be joined at the SSD by Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Christine Wormuth and PACOM Commander Admiral Samuel Locklear. Executive Vice Foreign Minister Zhang Yesui will host the SSD, at which senior civilian and military officials will exchange views on a range of security issues of strategic importance to both countries. |
