Special Advisor for Children’s Issues Ambassador Susan Jacobs will visit China and Japan May 12-20, 2014. Special Advisor Jacobs will travel to China to meet with non-governmental organizations and government officials to discuss the Hague Abduction Convention. She will also participate in a conference on cross border family issues. Ambassador Jacobs will then visit Japan, our newest partner in the Hague Abduction Convention, where she will meet with government officials and non-governmental organizations to discuss the Convention and cases that pre-date Japan’s accession to the Convention.
