Oooops !!! He now turns around and sues you for defamation, for the suit you brought against him that you've just withdrawn !!!!!
Kenya truly is an interesting society. No one admits a fault and no one apologizes. It gets depressing at times. And who picks a fight with a Priest for God's sake ??

Fr Richard Nguta says he will not battle MP Charles Nyamai should he be sued

KITUI, KENYA: A Kitui Catholic Priest has said he will leave it to God should an MP he has forgiven go ahead and sues him for alleged defamation.
Kanyangi's Catholic Parish Father-in charge, Richard Nguta, said he harboured no personal vendetta against Kitui Rural MP Charles Nyamai.
Fr Nguta said that when he forgave and withdrew a criminal charge against the MP on Wednesday for allegedly issuing threats to him, he did so on humanitarian grounds.
The priest said he expected the legislator to reciprocate the good gesture and open his heart to accept the forgiveness and repent.
He maintained that the charges he had brought against the MP were legitimate and factual. "What I had accused Nyamai for is real and based on facts. But I don't want to go back to the matter since I have forgiven him and withdrew the criminal charges," said Fr Nguta.
The priest said the MP was at liberty to sue him but urged him to reflect and ask himself why he has so many problems and hurdles following him.
Kitui Senior Principal Magistrate Alfred Kibiru set Nyamai free after the priest said he did not wish to pursue the matter anymore. The MP had denied threatening Fr Nguta on November 3, 2012.
But immediately after the acquittal, Nyamai said he will instruct his lawyers to file defamation charges against the priest saying he had been maligned in the eyes of the public.
"Take it from me that you will see us back in this court. As churchman he should have done that so long time ago," the MP told the Press outside the court.
The magistrate ordered the case terminated and subsequently acquitted the legislator to Section 204 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
"I do not wish to proceed with this matter against the accused any more. As a priest, I am a minister of reconciliation and forgiveness," said Fr Nguta.
Nyamai was charged that of committing the offence at a burial ceremony of the late Paul Kamuli Nguli in Kanyangi location, Lower Yatta district on November 3, 2012.
The MP allegedly told Father Nguta "Haki ya Ngai" (I swear by God) I will not allow this priest to sit on me. I am going to use all means possible to make sure he is evicted from Kanyangi parish. I am able to mobilise people against the priest with intent to provoke a breach of the peace to Father Richard Nguta."
