[wanabidii] Mbaraka Mwishehe -Jogoo La Shamba

Wednesday, September 04, 2013
I just chanced upon this song while I was making dinner for the kids. It remidend me of the first trip i took to Rabai as a young lad. One of out Wagemas and my best friend at the time, Tawa and his wife took me to their Rabai village. Tawa taught me how to climb Mnazi trees.
It was an awakening for this frightened young lad from West Ugenya. Luckily, since I could understand ChiDigo, I could also understand quite a bit of Rabai. I fit in very well in Rabai.

I had a good time in Rabai with everyone calling me Mtoto wa Tajiri.

Tawa's most favourite song was:

Jogoo La Shamba haliwiki Mjini

Please join me in this favourite memory.
