1 - God wants everyone to worship and follow him and, if they don't, they burn in hell for all eternity. What does this type of attitude say about his character? By definition, he would be described as a tyrant.
What about our earthly courts/judges when they punish the criminals; are they tyrannical.
Do we like or support crimes and oppose what the courts do to criminals? Why do we criticize God then? Is it because we believe or we know we are the source of everything that we are or we have? Why do we have limits then?

2 - If Jesus died on the cross and spent three days in hell to pay for the sins of the world, then why would we have to go to hell ourselves and pay for them again? God is then, in essence, being paid for our sins twice. With that said, was Jesus' sacrifice not worthy enough? If that is the case, why should we care that he died for our sins if his sacrifice means nothing at all?
What Jesus did was to meant to open the heavens doors for humankind and not to force people enter the heaven. We still have freedom to choose where we think or believe is right or rather good for us. So He opened the doors and advised us (NOT forced) to choose to enter the heaven and not hell for the long everlasting life to come. So now the door is open; what are the rules? Even in this life we have rules to achieve something we need or want in life. Lets stop questioning just when we see this same procedures also applicable with spiritual issues.

3 - If God wants us all to follow and worship him, why didn't he create us as such? *Your expected answer will be addressed in the next question*
Of course he created us as such that is why we consciousness to feel bad when we do wrong/ offend him or other people.

4 - What good is it for us to have free will if the intention is for us not to use it? Sure, we can use our free will, but we will burn in hell for eternity if we do. Russian roulette, anybody? It sounds like a set-up to me.
We use our free will to choose between good and bad, to be what we want to be, to go anywhere we want to, to choose our friends, don't we. Don't just think about burning in hell when we choose bad things, think about what the nature will do to you when you choose something that will ruin your life today, before you die. Your hell will start right here on earth.
Not only to God, even ourselves or the world, do not want you to use your free will to anything you want or feel to do, say anything you feel or want to say. That is why we have laws, police, courts, soldiers and more. You rape, you go to jail for 30 years; you kill, you either they hang you or you go to jail for life; you caught sleeping with someone's wife, !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, and many more.
I am sure there are some things you yourself, don't like or support other people to do to you or to others, do you?
Don't misunderstand God. Don't question God just because you can't see Him, Be careful, what you do or say today will come and haunt you tomorrow.
Always be sure you are right then proceed. And don't speak anything confidently without research to convince yourself first. You may be intelligent, but what you speak or do will make other people to disregard you.

5 - In the story of Sodom and Gomorrah, why would God kill Lot's wife, Sarah, by turning her into a pillar of salt for simply looking in the wrong direction? *Warning of impending sarcasm.* God is a merciful God........... right.
God is merciful yes, very merciful; but God is also righteousness. All we need to know is that, God has given us time that He will always be merciful to us, but it will come a time of judgement which is beyond merciful period. Let us use our time right.
But if you don't believe in God and you don't want to believe His existence, why should you bother to understand anything about God? I think it is not important to you who don't believe in God. If you just believe in yourself do it and keep on convincing yourself what you believe. Create your conscious to agree with your mind.
