Kamotho Agenda For Starehe: Central Ward voters.


Patrick Kamotho my agenda for the central ward voters.

Cleanest City under the Sun.
In a few days from today March 4th,2013 Kenyans will select candidates for 1,882 elective posts: 290 members of parliament, 47 senators, 47 county governors, 47 women county representatives, 1,450 civic wards and the presidency.

Nairobi Central Ward has (48,776) the highest number of registered voters countrywide, with 6 polling center each polling station with more or less 10,000 voters.

I Patrick Kamotho Githinji contesting on NARC ticket hereby call on all youths, women and elderly people towards  my noble quest on "Greener City Under The Sun" (GCUTS).

Having worked with St.John Brigade as a volunteer ,as a National Coordinator for Bunge La Mwanainchi, Creator  Baraza La Taifa, Chairman Country bus Football Club,  secretary, Dallas Boxing Team, Chairman Muthurwa Residents Welfare Association.

Humbly present to you my proposed agenda for this great city.


My plans:
In line with constitution, budgetary allocations for each county and ward allocations I will be able to implement the following.

-Green City under the Sun.
Having participated in a Task force on Service Delivery for Nairobi people in March 2012.Issues facing Nairobi citizens will be urgently be addressed through:

JOB CREATION/OPPORTUNITIES.
I will strive for revival of Kenya Railways Cooperation, which currently employ 800 people from the initially 25,000 workforce in early 90s.

Establish and support Colleges, and religious institutions with business hubs mentorships, challenges and exchange programs.

Establish entrepreneurship trainings to organized groups such as disables, hawkers and small scale traders.

STREET VENDORS/HAWKERS.

Short Term: Managing and moderating hawkers by empowering them through groups funding and trainings for projects outside the City Center, elect strategically modern kiosks and stalls located in the outskits of CBD city streets.

Mid Term. Allocating hundreds of modern kiosks to existing hawkers establish part time controlled business ventures,establish designated Taxis and Cabs areas.

Long Term. Establishing a multi storey market that is accessible to all vehicles plying different routes, reconstruct the Muthurwa Market, Establish a major market along Ngara area. Push for improvement of our railways system operating within and outside the CBD.

Recognizing and renaming the streets in honor of national hero.

Prof.Wangari Maathai Educational Center renamed from Muthurwa Dallas Social Hall
Rename Moi Avenue, Mama Ngina, and St.Koinange St. Lt.Tumbo road.

Managing street children's/families.

Short term. Relocation and identifying their next of kins, support the families with monthly stipends to cater for orphans within their home set ups.

Mid Term. Collaborate elders in the government kitty on people above 65 years of age.

Long Term. Establishing more fully equipped orphans, destitute homes and nyumba ya wazee sites outside the city center supported by government and donor.

Managing and empowering disabled people from the streets.

Short term. Identifying next of kin, level of education, the needs, direct support to the families with disable persons.

Mid Term. Tapping talents, empower them with wheel chairs. Audio Visuals.

Long Term Establish regular entrepreneurship trainings and seminars forums focused on overcoming disability.

Reclaiming, beautifying and utilizing open spaces within the City.

Establishing free-Hotspots and WI-FI locations within the open spaces in Nairobi. Jeevanjee gardens, Nairobi University area, Kenya Polytechnic/University, Uhuru Park-Freedom corner, Joogo House Parking,Players/National theatre, National archive area, National Archieve, Railways terminus and Bomblast site area. St John Brigade/Kenya Scouts/Redcross House.


-Establish inter-companies/ joint business cooperate responsibility initiatives.
-Establish Lawyers/Companies complaint center within CBD.
-Establish Saudi Arabia Watch desk to cater for Kenyans facing hardships in Middle East.
-Support Pyramid Scheme victims by fast tracking their repayments and creating opportunities for them.
-Establish Job centers (Notice Boards) within the CBD/Churches/Mosques.
-Establish work-stations, business hubs and business outsourcing centers.
-Sustain the existing Nairobi River upgrading exercise, through community/donors involvements.
