[wanabidii] Obama need 3 states to win Presidency

Monday, November 05, 2012
Opinion Poll show that the race today is tied at 49 % each among the popular votes, 4% are likely to change their mind. However the US President is not decided by popular votes, he is decided by electoral college and the magic number to win is 270.

If President Obama can only win the 3 battle ground states of Wisconsin, Iowa and Ohio he can easily pass that magic number. If he can't win those 3 states most likely he might loose. Other battleground states include Colorado, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Florida etc

The following group of voters are key in deciding the next US President; Independents , Latinos, younger voters , working class and white evangelicals. If any one can win majority of these voters, then he will be the next president.

President Obama is in Cincinnati, Ohio tonight and according to his schedule he going to finish his last rallies in the same 3 battle ground states.

Based on the above analysis I think President Obama has advantage if he can only win the above mentioned 3 states, and even if he lose all other remaining battle ground states. However the most important state of all is OHIO, No republican has ever won Presidency without winning Ohio.

Obama won Ohio in 2008 but today the race is so close in that state, So if he can win that and other 2 then the race for Presidency is over.

Mr. Romney is doing well in other mentioned battleground states but they won't matter if he win all and lose Ohio + 2 others.

If voters decide the next President based on Economy then Mr. Romney has an advantage because of his arguments and business background, hence can easily be trusted to improve the situation.

But If voters decide based on Foreign Policy, Health, Education etc then President Obama has an advantage because of what he has done before and what he is proposing now.

Decisions made in America affect rest of the world because they are the superpower and the biggest economy in the world.

US has some of the best universities in the world and some of our people have been and are still attending some of these colleges.

US is the largest contributor to UN system, we are all beneficiary of various UN programmes.

US is among the leading Nation in technological innovations which affect all of us and decide how we do business.

Tanzania is one the largest recipient of American aid; so far energy, health, education, sports and roads sectors are some of the areas that we are benefiting from their support.

In today's globalised world, decision made in one part of the planet affect the other part.

Hence we need each other and we have to follow what is going on over there and position ourselves in the right direction.

We have to think global and act local.

All the best Americans in deciding your next President.
