The Virtual Student Foreign Service (VSFS) is a unique opportunity allowing U.S. citizen undergraduate and graduate students to engage in citizen diplomacy through virtual internships (eInternships) with federal government agencies. VSFS enables students to work remotely to support the work of the U.S. Government around the world. Applications will be accepted July 2 – 22, 2015, for 325 interesting projects with the U.S. Department of State, USAID, and 13 other agencies, available through USAJobs. The VSFS program has seen enormous growth since it was first announced in May 2009. This year, students will apply to projects with:
U.S. citizen students interested in applying for a VSFS eInternship position may do so from July 2 – 22 on USAJobs. Applicants can apply for up to three projects of interest, and if selected, projects will begin in September 2015 and wrap up in Spring 2016.
